The Australian Trade Commission is the trade facilitation agency of the Australian Government. Our role in Singapore is to assist Australian companies export goods & services to the Singapore market.
The exporting of goods and services from Singapore to Australia is under the purview of International Enterprise Singapore (IE Singapore).
If you are interested in exporting to Australia, please contact the IE Singapore office in Singapore or Sydney. IE Singapore provides support and advice to Singaporean manufacturers and exporters on entering the Australian market.

I would like to take motor vehicles into Australia. Can Austrade assist? |

Before an exporter must gain clearance of the motor vehicle for motor cycle through customs, they will need to :-
| (1) |
Obtain a "VEHICLE IMPORT APPROVAL" from the Federal Office of Road Safety |
| (2) |
Pay customs duty and sales tax (sales tax only in some cases) and obtain a customs clearance at the port of entry. |
| (3) |
Obtain quarantine clearance from the Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service after the vehicle has arrived at the port of entry. |

We are unable to advise on Australian Customs matters as there is no Australian Customs officer based at the Australian High Commission in Singapore.
It is a worldwide Australian Government policy that only Australian Customs should advise officially on Australian tariff rates and sales tax.
Customers may also seek the services of professional Singapore forwarding agents. These agents are in daily contact either directly with Australian Customs, or with a clearing agent in Australia and can provide indicative advice.
